Cookie Policy
In this Cookie Policy, BinoBet (“we”, “us”) lays out the rules for using cookies and related technologies on the Platform, how you can manage them, and how they relate to our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
1) What are cookies and similar technologies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website or use an app. They store and retrieve information such as your login status or preferences. We also use:
- Local/Session Storage (browser storage with no automatic expiry),
- SDKs in our apps (mobile equivalents of cookies),
- Pixels/Web beacons (tiny images that register when a page or email loads),
- Device identifiers & fingerprinting signals (used primarily for security and fraud prevention).
Cookies set by BinoBet are first‑party cookies. Those set by other domains are third‑party cookies (for example, analytics, payments, or security tools we use).
2) Legal basis & consent
Under Dutch ePrivacy rules and the GDPR/AVG:
- Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, but we disclose them.
- Non‑essential cookies (analytics, personalisation, advertising) require your consent. You can give, refuse, or customise consent in our banner and in Account → Privacy → Cookie preferences.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 6). Refusing non‑essential cookies won’t break core functions, but some features may be limited.
3) Categories we use
We map each cookie to a single category in our Consent Management Platform (CMP).
3.1 Strictly necessary (required)
Enable core Platform functions: secure login, session continuity, payment flows, load balancing, consent storage, and fraud/abuse prevention.
3.2 Preferences (functional)
Remember your settings: language, region, accessibility options, and whether certain messages have been shown.
3.3 Performance (analytics)
Help us measure usage and quality (page loads, crashes, navigation paths). Where possible, we use aggregate or pseudonymised data.
3.4 Personalisation (experience)
Tailor the experience—e.g., showing recent games or recommended sections. These do not change odds or game math.
3.5 Advertising/marketing
Measure campaign reach and frequency and, where permitted, show relevant messages on our own properties. We do not sell personal data and we suppress marketing for excluded users (CRUKS/self‑exclusion).
3.6 Security & fraud prevention
Detect bots, account takeover attempts, or location spoofing (VPN/TOR). Some entries in this class are essential.

5) Email pixels
Marketing emails may contain a tracking pixel to help us know if the email was opened. You can disable images by default in your email client or unsubscribe using the link in the email footer.
6) How to control cookies
- Consent banner/CMP: choose “Accept all”, “Reject non‑essential”, or Customise categories. Change any time in Account → Privacy → Cookie preferences.
- Browser settings: block or delete cookies in your browser. This might affect functionality (e.g., staying signed in).
- Mobile OS: reset advertising IDs and limit ad tracking in iOS/Android settings.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC)/DNT: where technically supported, we honour GPC signals for marketing in addition to your in‑product choices.
7) Third‑party providers & international transfers
Some cookies come from third parties that help operate the Platform (analytics, crash reporting, security, payments, CDN). Where they process data for us, they act as processors under contract; where they act independently (e.g., aggregated benchmarking), they provide their own notices. If data leaves the EEA/UK, we use lawful safeguards (e.g., SCCs or adequacy). See our Privacy Policy for details.
8) Children and protected users
BinoBet is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly place non‑essential cookies for minors. Marketing categories are suppressed for self‑excluded players and for individuals registered in CRUKS.
9) Retention & consent logs
- Session cookies expire when you close your browser/log out.
- Persistent cookies last from minutes to years depending on purpose.
- We retain CMP consent logs to demonstrate compliance for as long as required by law and our accountability obligations.
10) Security
We protect cookie data in transit with TLS and restrict access to a need‑to‑know basis. We avoid storing sensitive information (e.g., full card numbers or passwords) in cookies.
11) Updates to this policy
We may update this Policy following changes in law, guidance from the Kansspelautoriteit or Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or Platform changes. For material updates, we will display a notice and, where needed, request consent again.
12) How this fits with other policies
This Policy is part of our privacy framework. Read it together with our Privacy Policy, Responsible Gambling Policy, and Terms & Conditions. The stricter rule applies where they differ on consent.
